2nd  February Bob Dearden well known local cricket enthusiast presented his excellent talk on local cricket.  This was an excellent entertaining presentation spiced with humourous examples from his earlier teaching career and later reminiscences from the Central Lancashire league as a player, umpire, official and coach.  A sparkling presentation highly recommended.

19th January: Below Addie and Barbra Redmond ending their talk on 'Education in Namibia'

This talk was an account of their voluntary work with VSO.  The talk was an excellent slide presentation showing conditions in Namibia  which illustrated their work  in math and science teaching with 15-16 year olds.  Their input in teacher education by means of Workshops and Science fairs was also described.  A thoroughly good show.  If you are interested in hearing about this work contact addiebarbra@redmond.me.uk
